The Portuguese water dog



Matisse, a Portuguese Water Dog, walks during the Working Group round of the Westminster Kennel Club dog show.

The show, which is in its 139th year is the US´s oldest and largest dog show competition and the second-longest continuously running sporting event in the United States.
It includes 192 dog breeds and draws nearly 3,000 global competitors. This year's event took place on Monday and Tuesday, February 16 and 17, 2015 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Sunny and Bo

Matisse, the Portuguese water dog who was named for famed French artist Henri Matisse is a cousin of Sunny, President Obama and his family´s pet . At 3 1/2 years old, Matisse has won best in show 238 times, among the most in canine history. He was one of the favourites.
