Beautiful Orchids in Caracas II

Today I visited my Japanese friend H. to see, for the second year, her beautiful collection of orchids. The orchid called Cattleya mossiae is the national flower of Venezuela.

Some people were complaining that owing to the lack of water in Caracas the orchids have not bloomed like last year.

But it was beautiful to see them and rest on the top floor of her penthouse with a nice breeze and admire the imposing Avila mountains.

There are some people who are very good at everything they do. Well H. is that sort of person: she  takes care of her own orchids and besides that she is an accomplished bridge and golf player.
