Go Set a Watchman is a novel written in the mid-1950s by Harper Lee, an American writer who published To Kill a Mockingbird in 1960. She is now 88.
It seems her editor had suggested that she write another novel from the young Scout Finch's perspective (To Kill a Mockingbird) before Go Set a Watchman. It became a very successful story later adapted to the cinema.
The manuscript was then lost for many years, until being rediscovered by her lawyer in 2014. It will be published in July. The novel is about an adult Scout Finch, who travels from New York to Alabama, to visit her father, Atticus Finch, twenty years after the events of To Kill a Mockingbird.
Good news! I read about it today while reading “Expresso Curto” an outline of the news of the day.
I´m sure my daughter will be delighted…
