Today I went to the Embassy of Indonesia on the occasion of its 69th anniversary of independence.
It was celebrated with traditional Indonesian music, dancing, and an exhibition by Indonesian photographer Benny Asrul.
Indonesia is an archipelago country with more than 17000 islands. The biggest ones are Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, Sulawesi and Papua. Bali is Indonesia´s most popular island destination. The total population is more than 240 million people, making it the 4th most populous country in the world. Indonesia has more than 500 ethnical and linguistic groups, which define the nation´s motto “Unity in Diversity”.
